The Youth, Adult and Family Wellness Center is home to youth and family support services. Among these programs and services are:
Minority Health Promotion Center
providing health information, health education, and risk reduction activities to neighborhood residents.
After School Learning Center for children six to twelve years old
located at the John Hope Settlement House facility, the After School Learning Center offers homework assistance and stimulating educational activities for children and youth after school.
John Hope 21stCentury Community Learning Center at Bridgham Middle School
this collaborative effort at the Bridgham Middle School offers students a summer "Career Camp," after school programming in association with the Providence After School Alliance (PASA), and opportunities for parent involvement, access to adult education and job training and parent/family support and social services.
Better Money Management Workshops
workshops help families manage their money, build savings, and build assets for the future.
Sports and Recreation programs
John Hope Settlement House is home to an NCAA regulation gymnasium, where sportsmanship and team spirit are developed. John Hope Settlement House is also home to the well known "John Hope Steppers," along with a variety of organized sports and recreation opportunities.
Youth development at John Hope Settlement House has historically involved sports and recreation, music and the arts, after school programs, summer youth activities, educational tutoring, health education and drug abuse prevention, and adult youth mentoring. These services and activities are conducted either at the John Hope Settlement House facility or in collaboration with other youth-serving organizations located throughout the community and at neighborhood schools.
