Each year, John Hope Settlement House offers opportunities for financial scholarships to individuals who have participated in any John Hope Settlement House services or programs. With scholarship amounts of up to $1,000 per year for students pursuing higher education, guidelines for the Scholarship Program include:
- Applicants must have participated in any John Hope programs for a minimum total of twelve (12) months, at anytime throughout the student's life, to qualify for a scholarship.
- Students shall maintain a 2.0 grade point average (GPA) on a 4 point system and an official grade sheet will be delivered to John Hope Settlement House for the Scholarship Committee's review in order to qualify for continuing awards no later than 30 days following semester ending.
- Each students/applicant shall verify with the respective institution acceptance and enrollment in the institution after the add/drop period.
- Awarding of funds will always be contingent on the availability of funds.
- Amount of award may vary with a maximum up to $1,000 per recipient year.
- Not more than 2 family members may receive funds at the same time,
and no family shall receive more than $8,000 over the duration of four (4) years.

LEVEL OF SCHOLARSHIPS
- Two year state college - $400.
- Four year state college - $850.
- Four year private (in or out-of-state) college - $1,000
