The Family Renewal Center encompasses services for children, youth and families including family support and intervention services. The Center works with families to promote a supportive environment for parents and children. Services offered are: intensive case management, crisis intervention, and parenting education. Among the supports and wrap-around services that strengthen families and promote healthy child development are financial literacy, community and social events and food assistance
The Family Renewal Center offers an approach that is culturally relevant and responsive to child and family needs. Services are delivered in an integrated and planned way and include families in decision making processes. Among these services are:
- A comprehensive emergency intervention program for families and children at risk of crisis.
- A coordinated system of care that is provided through a networked system of families, service providers, educators, advocates and community resources that support families with children and youth who have mental health and behavioral health issues and challenges.
- A community-based after-care program for adjudicated youth returning to their communities from the Rhode Island Training School for Youth.
- Youth residential services that include an emergency shelter for girls and a group home for boys.
